In the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic, it is difficult to think about anything else. However, life does go on, and we need to make changes to accommodate these unusual times. Face-to-face meetings are not currently possible but that doesn’t mean that we cannot start or continue a divorce mediation or any other issue that you would like to resolve through mediation. Technology has given us the ability to meet face-to-face through Video Conferencing.

What is Video Conferencing?

Video conferencing is conducting a face-to-face conference between two or more participants at different sites by using computer networks to transmit audio and video data.

All participants in the conversation will see each other on their computer, tablet or iPhone screens even though they may be in different locations.

How do we conduct our mediation via video conferencing?

We schedule a day and time for our mediation session. Prior to that session, I will send you an invitation containing a link to the call. At the appointed day/time, each party will then access the call via the link.

At the end of our session, you can easily exit the call by clicking on “leave the meeting.”

Please note that all sessions still remain private and confidential.

What do I need to do to attend a video conference session?

Video conferencing is as simple and seamless as meeting in person and there are many programs out there to use. My preference is Zoom. If you would like to learn more about Zoom, click here

If you are interested in utilizing video conferencing for your mediation, please give me a call or send me an email.

Please be safe and stay healthy.
